Handbell Insurance

To insure a handbell set you may have to go to a specialist broker or supplier. Beware of relying on normal household insurance as you may not get the cover that you need. Possible sources are:

If your team is likely to give public performances, you should also consider taking out Public Liability insurance. This would cover you against being sued if, for example, a member of the audience tripped over a bell box or a pin sheared in a bell, allowing a clapper to hit someone (yes, it has happened!).
